Many industrial applications increasingly demand the use of grease with higher speed and temperature capabilities. This is a big challenge for manufacturers of high-tech bearing greases. Achieving this involves extensive laboratory tests, as well as field tests.
With the new RHF 1 high speed grease test rig, SKF offers the capability to test the lubrication performance of greases under high speeds, high temperatures or a combination of both. It is possible to run test batches up to a speed of 75 000 rpm and with speed characteristic values (n*dm) of up to 3,6 million.
